Published by Govberg Jewelers, one of America’s first retailers of exclusive timepieces, iW Magazine has long been a respected mainstay for watchmakers and enthusiasts. After spending years building on an aging Wordpress installation, iW turned to our team for a fresh approach to their digital publishing strategy.
Overview
Inspired by the beauty and engineering of the timepieces they cover, we sought to establish a crisp design language that would help readers focus their attention on the complex, intricate world of high-end watches. Coupled with immersive, high-quality video and stunning photography, the new iW Magazine comes alive in ways that were impossible to do in print.

Distraction-Free Reading
We designed the interface to get out of the reader’s way so attention stays on the content. This results in an efficient use of screen real estate that keeps focus on the beautiful products being reviewed.
Custom Entry Designs
iW’s coverage ranges from product reviews to in-depth interviews with watchmakers in their workshops. To create a sense of separation between these disparate pieces of content, we used Proof’s ability to define different kinds of entries so a tailored experience could be crafted for each story.
Newsletter Integration
Targeted email campaigns result in better conversion rates, so we created a brand index that integrates with MailChimp. Readers only receives alerts when iW publishes stories about their favorite brands.
